First Team registration completed

It is the normal formality before the start of the season: the clubs have to register all their players at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and have to declare who is going to participate in the league matches.

This year was special for the Red Bulls though, because it was the first registration for new Team-Manager Solomon Ansah, who had to get familiar with the processes first. Additionally the GFA required an 18 page medical report on every player for the first time, so that the Red Bull medical department and Dr. Momodou Cham from the nearby Comboni Hospital had very busy days, before the submission of the paperwork.

Now all players are successfully registered and the First Team has 27 players who are eligible to play in the Division One. 23 of them train regularly with the First Team under Coach Eelco Schattorie and four of them (David Atanga, Shadrack Adombila, Isaac Duah and Seth Paintsil) are still part of the U-17 squad.

When the season opener is going to take place is still unsure. It is likely to be in the middle of december, but the GFA didn’t set an official date yet.
